Dr. Behrouz Mirjafari received his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in 2007, and his M.Sc and Ph.D. degrees in geotechnical branch from the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in 2009 and 2018, respectively.

He started his professional career with “Saigan Toos Construction Company” in Mashhad, Iran in the field of design, execution and quantity surveying and estimating and estimation of ordinary private-owned residential projects in 2004. In 2012, he established his own geotechnical services company named "Saraamed Bana Iranian", which was an expert in the design and execution of different types of improvement methods and soil retaining structures. In 2015, he established his own Consultant Engineering Company named "Bana Pei Iranian", which includes a soil mechanics laboratory, a concrete laboratory, welding inspection of steel structures, and also a department of design and supervision of specialized geotechnical projects. In 2020, he launched the international engineering company, “Inttratech” with the head office located in Oman (Muscat city), which is internationally involved in the field of soil mechanics and concrete laboratory, design and implementation of all types of retaining structures and micropiles, consultant and executive of excavation and foundation waterproofing systems, as well as trade-in specialized geotechnical equipment and products.

Dr. Behrouz Mirjafari joined as a guest lecturer in the Civil Engineering Department of Khavaran Institute of Technology in 2008, teaching "Foundation Engineering” and “Soil Mechanics Laboratory” courses. He was also a Teacher Assistant in the “Foundation Engineering” course at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in the same year. He also taught “Soil Mechanics Laboratory” at Eqbal Lahoori University and “Soil Mechanics at Islamic Azad University, Mashhad branch, in 2009. He joined Sadjad University in 2015 by teaching the “Foundation Engineering” course; in 2016, he presented the "Soil Improvement" course for graduate students of Toos Institute of Higher Education of Mashhad.

Dr. Behrouz Mirjafari was the head of the Geotechnical Branch of the Engineering Department Journal of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad called "Design and Construction" between 2011 and 2017.

Since 2014, he joined the research group of Professor Sassan Mohasseb "SMTEAM Zurich" in the field of new soil-structure interaction methods, especially "Scaled Boundary Finite Element Method, SBFEM" and "Cone Method". He participated as a lecturer assistant in the "Soil-Structure interaction by Cone Method" seminar at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and the "Soil-Structure interaction, SBFEM" workshop at University of Tehran. In 2015, Dr. Behrooz Mirjafari held two seminars for students and engineers on "Micropile Design with no Software Aid" in his own company and also at Asrar Institute of Technology. Since 2018, he has also provided many specialized courses in social media (especially Instagram) for students and engineers, which have been very successful so far.

Since 2012, he has had a Civil Engineering Practice License from the Khorasan Razavi Construction Engineering Company, and has also been a member of the Geotechnical Supervision Group of Khorasan Razavi Construction Engineering Company between 2014 and 2017, with the duty of controlling and supervising the technical design and execution of geotechnical projects in Khorasan Razavi province. He is also a member of the International Tunneling Association (ITA), International society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE), Iranian Tunneling Association, Iranian Geotechnical Society, and Iranian Geosynthetics Society.

Dr. Behrouz Mirjafari's research interests are Retaining Structures, Soil Improvement Methods, Soil-Structure Interaction, Soft Soil Tunneling and Numerical Methods in Geotechnical Engineering. He has published more than 11 papers in different conferences and journals.

His professional experience has mostly been focused on designing and execution of various methods of soil improvement and retaining structures in urban areas. More than 40 projects including design, supervision and execution of retaining structures up to 27 meters deep by various methods of piling, truss, nailing, anchoring and diaphragm wall in addition to several soil improvement projects by Micropile with different levels of underground water can be appointed to his CV. Kokab Hotel excavation support with more than 27 meters depth, Jahan Mall megaproject with an area of 63,000 square meters and a depth of 26 meters and micropile for foundation of Raoof hotel can be mentioned as his remarkable projects (Please kindly refer to my Professional Portfolio for more details).
